Sunburst Solar Pool Heating Panels heat your swimming pool with free energy from the sun. Their lightweight modular design makes it easy to connect to your existing pool circulating system. Water is circulated through the panels with your existing circulation pump, so there is no additional operational cost.

Sunburst Solar Pool Heating Panels
Increase the length of your swimming pool season with free heat from the sun. Our Sunburst solar pool heating panels absorb the energy radiating from the sun and transfer it to the water flowing through the panels. The solar-heated water is circulated to your swimming pool via your existing pump, adding no additional operational costs. The panels are an environmentally friendly alternative to costly fossil fuel heaters. The panels are made from polypropylene plastic with a UV inhibitor and are certified by NSF 50* for water safety. The solar panels can either be installed on the ground or mounted on a roof.

*NSF 50 requires materials to be corrosion-resistant and to meet minimum criteria established to ensure that the materials do not contribute harmful contaminants to the water.
I purchased 6ea. of the 16004-12’s in Spring of 2020. They are made in the USA, so it felt good buying them. I had some cheaper panels before, the Sunburst panels are more robust. Installation wasn’t that difficult, thankfully I have a shallow pitch roof. Installation instructions provided were good. The staff at Pool Heating Depot was very knowledgeable and friendly, they didn’t mind at all when I called with installation questions. I live in Northeast Ohio and the panels are facing south. My 28ft round above ground pool was 85 – 95F from mid-June to mid-Sept. We like the water warm, so I went with more panels than what was probably needed, and it extended the pool season. There was several days from mid-July to September that we didn’t run the panels because the water temperature was climbing above 95F. I ended up using the pool till the end of September, which was a first.
